Silicon Institute of Technology encourages academics and skill development of students through various courses in summer. During the semester break the Institute offers various courses which enhances the analytical capability of the participants to make them industry ready. During the 2017 summer break, various courses are floated by the departments to enhance academic knowledge and hands-on skills.

The Fee for each course includes course material (hard copy/CD), Tea, Snacks/Lunch.

Make Yourself Skilled in C++ Programming

The aim of this summer course is to provide a discussion forum for students of all disciplines to gain knowledge, experience and to discuss the new ideas in the area of programming in ‘C++’.

    This Course deals with Basic theory of Analog and mixed signal Circuits, Design principles and techniques for implementation of analog and mixed signal IC blocks in CMOS technology. Although analog design appears to be much less systematic than its digital counterpart, this course will try to instill some idea of good design principles to simplify the process.

    An approach towards realization of physical phenomena of Engineering using PSIM & MATLAB. MATLAB is a de facto standard in industry and academic; scientists and engineers can leverage their familiarity with the software in numerous professional and research contexts. Powersim (PSIM) is another software tool which is specialized in electrical/electronics engineering simulation and has design tools for research and product development in power supplies, motor drives, and power conversion and control systems.

    Dynamics of typical electrical power system changes continuously to keep the balance between loads and generation. In addition, generators, lines & loads are switched in & out at regular intervals giving rise to over voltage & over current. The analysis of the system can cover disturbances ranging from few cycles to couple of minutes and may have to deal with a range of frequencies.

    Advanced Simulation techniques using SPICE based software

    SPICE is a computer program designed to simulate analog electronic circuits. Its original intent was for the development of integrated circuits, from which it derived its name: Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis (SPICE). Integrated circuits, unlike board-level designs composed of discrete parts, are impossible to breadboard before manufacture.This course will give a comprhensive knowledge to simulate any circuit containing analog & digital devices.

    Basics of theory and practice of photovoltaic(PV) system and its balance of system (BOS). Hands on practice for sizing with and without economic consideration will be done. Lab experimental verification, Modeling, real time operation, maintenance, troubleshooting with case studies will be the major part of the course. Information on PV based project development, employment opportunity and entrepreneurship development will be an added benefit for the participants.
